What is the correct part number for the lubricator used on the GE 761 TM with a “wide window” bearing?
Use Miller Felpax lubricator 922-400 (GE 41C630516G1). Please note that this part number supersedes the obsolete 647-201 (GE 9949128G1) Carrier Assembly and 647-400 (GE 481A202G1) Wick Assembly. For more details see the 647 Service Advisory.
What is the correct part number for the lubricator used on the EMD D77 type traction motors?
Use Miller Felpax lubricator 779B-400 (EMD 8277771). Please note that this part number supersedes the obsolete 1439-400 (EMD 40014545). For more details see the 1439 Service Advisory.
Why is it necessary to soak a lubricator (wick) in oil before installation?
Wicks must be soaked in oil to provide maximum lubrication to the bearing at startup. Soak for a minimum of 20 minutes in oil at room temperature or 10 minutes in oil heated to 160 degrees F.
What is the correct Miller Felpax part number for the GE 41B515390P3 pedestal liner with flanged washers?
Use Miller Felpax Part number W-290. This is basically a kit that includes one pedestal liner part number W-325 with four flanged washers.
Why do your gear case seals appear to be larger than the sealing diameter?
The slightly larger diameter is required to assure proper seating onto the sealing surfaces. The seal will make correct contact when the gear case is fastened to the traction motor.
How should I dispose of used gear case seals?
Gear case seals can be disposed of in the normal refuse stream if they are cleaned of all gear lubricant.
How are your support bearings packaged?
Support bearings are packaged in matched sets of one window half and one back half per box.
Does Miller Felpax have Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the products you manufacture?
We are not required to keep MSDS sheets on our products per OSHA hazard communication standard 29 CFR 1910.1200. This standard states that it is not required for manufactured items, which under normal conditions of use, do not release any hazardous chemical and does not pose a physical hazard or heath risk.
Are the Miller Felpax freight car parts AAR approved?
Yes. The Miller Felpax Vent Valve Protectors and Brake Beam Wear Guide have been granted AAR approval.

What is the correct MF part number for the EMD center bowl liner used on a GP 2 axle truck?
Use Miller Felpax part number CBL-120, this is a one piece bowl liner that replaces the three piece set that includes one 9085368 plate and two 9329633 half rings.
What does the “AF” or “AG” refer to in the gear case seal description?
The “AF” and “AG” are traction motor model designations assigned by GE Transportation.
